Cider Barn provides a relaxing environment in which to take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Come and stay in our wonderful beamed barn, full of character in a peaceful rural hamlet near the River Tone and 3 miles from the M5.
The Cider Barn at Runnington is a splendid and dramatic old barn offering a choice of three beautiful bedrooms. In addition to the Cider Barn, we now have West Apartment available for short breaks or weekly stays. Our historic barns have been sympathetically converted by our family, retaining the original character whilst integrating appropriate modern technology.

There is an abundance of natural wood, with re-used original elm boards throughout and a dramatic oak floor and woodburner in the main reception room. Seven king posts are displayed along the barn’s roof. Downstairs, the high-ceilinged Cider Barn has a Mediterrranean feel with ceramic tiled floors, huge exposed elm ceiling joists, and French doors opening to the Courtyard garden.

Set in beautiful countryside (situated between the Blackdown Hills, Exmoor, the Brendons and the Quantock Hills)  it’s a wonderful place to explore Somerset. We are surrounded with lovely walking options – one at our gate leading to the River Tone where footpaths lead three ways. Visit us for an uplifting respite break while exploring beautiful scenery and the historic towns of Wellington, Tiverton, Taunton, Exeter, Dulverton and Dunster.

There are three ways to stay in Cider Barn:

  • West Apartment – self-contained 1 bed flat to rent for holidays or business use.
  • Bed and Breakfast – six guests in three Double/Twin rooms.
  • Whole Cider Barn rental for family groups of 8-10 guests
